Aaliyah Haughton became famous in 1994 when she released her first album Age isn't just the number. Aaliyah Danahaughton was only fifteen when her debut album was released as Gold. R. Kelly was a significant influence in this project which put the singer into the spotlight. In the year 1996, Jermaine Durpri along with Timbaland joined forces to record her second Album One In A Million. The album included the song If Your Boyfriend only knew as the lead single one. Aaliyah received international recognition for her R&B vocals on the album. In 2000, she starred alongside the famous martial arts star Jet Li for the film Romeo Must Die. Joel Silver, film producer and director of Romeo Must Die, spotted her during an awards event. In 2002, she was in the vampire film Queen of the Damned based on the Anne Rice book. The actress is of Indian heritage and was born Connecticut. Her stage name Mann is an abbreviation for her marital name Mankad. The actress employs Aarti Man and Aarti Mahumdar to refer to her official name. Although she began with small TV and movie parts, her acting career began becoming more popular in the turn of the century. Alongside The Big Bang Theory, the other shows she has starred in are Leverage (2013) Suits (2014) as well as Grey's Anatomy (2017.) The actress has been featured in a variety of commercials, including Volvo's global car manufacturer. The actress currently resides in Los Angeles along with her spouse, daughter, and husband. She is also pursuing her acting career.
