Nancy Wilson is a Grammy Award winning jazz singer. Her birth date was February 20, 1937, in Chillicothe Ohio, to Olden Wilson, who was employed at an ironworks and Lillian Ryan, a former domestic worker. Nancy Wilson was first born child at the age of 6. The music passion of her father and the records he played at home were a huge influence on Nancy as a young girl. At the age of four, Nancy knew that her future was as a performer. She was able to develop her talents by singing with the choir of her church. In high school her appearances on Skyline Melodies.
